What Are Angels and Archangels?
Across most spiritual traditions, Angels are understood as non-physical Beings that act as messengers, guides, or protectors between higher spiritual realms and the physical world. Archangels are typically described as a higher order within that same population ~ carrying greater responsibility, a wider scope of influence, or oversight of other Angels, rather than being a wholly separate kind of Being.
Belief in Angels and Archangels spans religious and non-religious paths alike. Some traditions describe them primarily as messengers who deliver guidance or warnings; others emphasize their protective role; still others focus on their part in a larger cosmic order or hierarchy. What is shared across most descriptions is the idea of an intermediary presence ~ something that connects ordinary human experience to a larger, unseen spiritual order.
The Angelic Kingdom and Terra Lux
The Community of Terra Lux, whose channeled information comes from an entity named Waith comes from the Angelic Kingdom which he describes as a high energy dimension of Service. Waith teaches that the Angelic Kingdom is best described in terms of the roles its members are assigned:
Protectors ~ assigned to individual energy forms and responsible for them on their journey.
Warriors ~ trained to assist in the ongoing balance between Light and Dark.
Messengers ~ charged with delivering information and guidance.
Waith teaches that an Angelic may be trained in one, two, or all three of these roles, and that some areas draw larger numbers of Angelics than others as the needs of the Kingdom shift over time. This role-based framing ~ Protector, Warrior, Messenger ~ is the lens this site uses when it draws on the teachings of Terra Lux, rather than any list of individually named Archangels.
What Angelic Guidance Is ~ and Is Not
Terra Lux is specific about the limits of this guidance: The Angelic Kingdom, in Waith’s teachings, does not foretell the future, hand down decisions, or act on a person's behalf. Waith describes those features as the province of others charged with those responsibilities. Instead, according to Waith, the purpose of the Angelic Kingdom is to help each person recognize the tools available to them, understand how to use those tools, and find the confidence to keep using them in their own way. The Angelic relationship is one of support and companionship on a path that a person must still walk themselves ~ and, not one of direction from above.
This same guidance is what Terra Lux points to as the practical starting point for balancing the abstract and the concrete: the process it calls Gaining Self Awareness, reached through Focusing. Angelic guidance, in other words, is described less as intervention and more as companionship toward a person's own Self-understanding.
No Hierarchy of Importance
Terra Lux also teaches that the Angelic Kingdom carries no internal hierarchy of worth. All energy ~ Angelic or otherwise ~ is described as fundamentally equal; the only real distinction between Beings is their Level of Awareness, meaning how much they understand, not how much authority or status they hold. This mirrors a wider theme in Waith’s teaching: that spiritual growth is a matter of expanding awareness rather than rising through any ranks.
