My Jar is Open

Last week, my company had an employee drawing to win a pair of tickets to a production of The Secret Life of Bees at the Bushnell Center for Performing Arts, which is a few blocks away from my office. I was ecstatic when I was one of the winners, and immediately contacted my best friend to invite her down to come with me.

I can’t believe it ~ I’m finally graduating!! I finished my coursework in December, but this Sunday (the 21st), I will actually walk across the stage in my cap and gown, and collect my dipoloma.

Betrayal

During my elementary school years, being raised Catholic, I was made to attend CCD (Sunday School) every week. I was genuinely interested to learn about my religion and discuss spiritual matters, but usually left feeling unsatisfied. Shifting Perceptions

It was quite eerie when I first encountered Waith’s information about it, and the time after (aka The New Illusion), because it was a topic that I’d previously filed away under the heading of “Not Going To Happen, Don’t Worry About It”. But here was a reason to rethink that.

How to Become a Witch in Ten Easy Steps

1. Start reading about astrology and the supernatural in junior high school. This one actually got me branded as a (green and evil) witch immediately (and for quite some time) in some people’s eyes, although I didn’t understand why. I wasn’t a witch as far as I was concerned, and I was baffled by their ignorance and fear.
