Reflections from Mushiba ~ Creating a Void from Old Beliefs

Recently, I had a mini retreat within Self to evaluate some of my long held beliefs about the world around me, the people in this world and the exaggerated behaviors that abound ~ beliefs all formed from a world external to Self. I do this periodically so I can redefine my truth. It is not easy since it forces me to face Self. However, it is always fruitful because I create a void within Self when I dismiss an old belief ~ and, most of us know what The Universe does when there is a void.

So, it was no coincidence that the Unpublished Waith Transcript for this week (which I had queued several months ago for this week), contained a question to Waith on this very subject ~

Question: I see the crazy things happening in the world, and feel that everything is absurd and a sense of uselessness comes over me, that there’s not much point in doing a lot of things and I’d rather not do anything. How do I deal with this feeling?

This is a common feeling, especially now on the earth plane, that entities have, for as you learn more about why you are here and how you fit into the scheme of The Universe, there can be this sense of, “Why should I bother ~ it all seems to be running as it is supposed to so why should I do anything?” On one hand, that is exactly the response you should be giving. That is, in essence, a flowing with what is happening. You simply move and do not think about reacting to something because whatever you are doing is appropriate. However, most entities do not have that higher consciousness in terms of looking at the chaos and all that appears to be a crumbling.

Something that you may believe in today, suddenly tomorrow has proved to be different than it was the day before. You are in a time frame of rapidly changing illusions as you move into The New Illusion. And to move into The New Illusion means that crumbling will occur. This is a test for you who have come onto the earth plane during this time for Self to be better able to draw within Self and not be drawn to external definitions of what you feel is the truth.

The truth is something that you would define within Self. When you believe something that is external to Self, you will feel a sense of futility if it changes, for you will have believed in something that you brought within Self as a way to help see your way through this lifetime. And, when that is suddenly broken down and destroyed, or at least crumbled in some way, you could indeed find yourself lost ~ a sense of hopelessness.

You can bring yourself out of that feeling. Do not fight it and rather say, “Yes, this is now destroyed, what I used to believe ~ this is now gone ~ I have nothing.” Empty yourself. Say, “I have nothing to believe in now.” And, then watch what happens, for The Universe does not like emptiness. Something will come to fill the void that you have just created. It may be another belief or it may be a higher understanding of why you lost the other belief.

Simply let it go and say, “If you want to destroy my belief, go ahead.” Do not try to hold onto a belief, for when you try to hold onto and possess something, The Universe will take it from you. This is part of the precepts that work within The Universal Consciousness. It will be taken away if you try to possess it, just as when some one or some thing tries to possess you ~ you fight it.

One of my favorite statements (and beliefs) is, “I will not be possessed by any one or any thing.” So, reading Waith’s final words from this excerpt reminded me that just as I do not like being held captive so, too, do beliefs not like being held captive. Something to ponder, gentle spirits?

  1. Buema Says:

Lately, I’m consciously trying to let go of things, and at the same time, allow others to have them. In all this, I am also discovering that there is emotional substance in the void. The Universe has filled that space with emotions. So then a void does not necessarily mean emptiness.

In reading Waith’s word, it has caused me to think of all this in general. What a wonderful article.

  2. Mushiba Says:

That is correct, Buema. A void does not necessarily mean emptiness ~ it simply means ’space’ to do with whatever is needed. Sometimes that space if filled and sometimes it is not.

One way that I have been able to minimize the concrete things in my life is by creating the void and then not adding anything new to it ~ thus, the ’space’ stays as space, which is a real challenge to maintain since other people want to help fill that space. Of course, my attitude is what helps me maintain that space regardless of what others might attempt. :-)
