Entertaining Angels Unawares ~ What about Saints?

In my last article, I gave several angel quotes from saints. As I help to compile information on the Topic of Angels for the upcoming Best of Waith series, I came across this excerpt about sainthood, as it refers to The Angelics. I hope you will enjoy it. It is from a Waith Transcript dated November 5, 1987.

Question: Are Angels seeking Oneness with The Universal Consciousness?

Waith: Yes, of course.

Question: Where do saints fit in the picture? Are there saints on that plane, or just because we call them saints?

Waith: Yes. It is an earth plane term, of course, as you well know. The saint, as it is referred to, is a highly evolved energy. In some cases, they are Angels in Training who have chosen to return to the earth plane for very significant teachings. They do not need to learn anything on the earth plane. Their lives on the earth plane have ceased, and they return of their own free will to, at critical times in earth plane history, teach and give certain concepts and ideas to The Collective Consciousness of the Earth. In all cases, those who you call saints are highly evolved. Whether they are of The Angelic Kingdom or whether they are simply evolved, is not the issue, for they are strong vibrations and they have the ability to communicate with you.

Thus, in the behavior of praying to the saints, you are, indeed, praying to the high vibrations who, in other dimensions, are charged with the responsibility of being of service, just as we are. They choose to be of service in many different ways. They make themselves available to help you at times in your incarnation ~ and to give an added boost to what your Spirit Guides are doing.

Question: I lost something this week, which I later found, and someone told me to pray to St. Anthony because he finds things. Not growing up knowing what saints were ~ they have designations like that ~ I said I lost something and she said that St. Anthony finds things. She said ask for help. Are those designations correct?

Waith: Yes, indeed they are. It is part of the vibration. They have their assignments, just like all of you have your assignments. You have a Soul’s purpose on the earth plane and your Soul has a purpose when it is in other dimensions ~ so that saints have a purpose at a particular time. The history of humankind will evolve to the point where there will be a forgetting of the saints because it will cross into history and others will take their place. This will happen over hundreds of earth plane years ~ so that Anthony has a particular time frame in which he is dealing ~ many hundreds of years that he will be known as the one to contact. He is doing quite an admirable job, do you not agree?

I would answer Waith’s question with, “very much so!” The issue of Angels, Saints and Spirit Guides is one that gives me personal peace and great comfort. A dear loved one of mine, who is no longer on the earth plane, used to ask St. Anthony to find lost articles ~ which I found unusual, in that he grew up in the Jewish faith. This was some kind of reinforcement for me, that nothing in one’s religion ~ or spirituality, if you prefer ~ is set in some kind of stone, and that one has the ability to “carve his own angel.”

Good ol’ St. Anthony! My grandmother and great Aunt are always calling on him….but it seems to me that the Saint’s provide more of a FOCAL point ~ I never picture St. Anthony actually FINDING those lost keys, or misplaced glasses….but rather a stilling of the mind in the person who, for a time, has become ’scattered’. Perhaps he’s the inner voice that says, “Retrace your steps!”
I don’t know of all the saints, in fact, I only know of a few (not having been raised Catholic) however St. Francis of Assisi has always been dear to my heart. By example he shows how humans and animals can co-exist so nicely together! It also amuses me that in his youth he wore the finest garments made of the finest cloth, as his father was a tailor! Equally amusing was the time he sold some bolts of cloth (that were technically his father’s!) to raise money for the poor! (Dad wasn’t too happy!!!) He went from Riches to Rags, and in only 45 Earth years, he made quite an impact. His image in statue form today probubly graces more gardens than any other…He reminds me to “love all things”……

Oh how interesting to hear this from Waith. It’s funny; I used to call upon St. Anthony all the time, because I would lose everything that I laid my hands on, especially my glasses and keys. Actually, I still find myself stranded at home or in the car because the searching for these two items has become habitual. Oh god, I was horrible being absent minded with my belongings back then.

I haven’t called upon St. Anthony since I’ve lost faith in my religion, or more so the community of my church. Someone who is still so dear to me, who once attend the same church (the one I used to attend), had explained to me about St. Anthony and his angelic service. I was very touched to have learned that a saint was always going to make himself available for me during my lost-and-found episodes.

I stopped calling for St. Anthony, because I allowed a certain community from that particular church to affect and change my way of believing, which led me to isolate myself from the community and disapprove with certain teachings. In a way it was good but also bad. The good part, I found myself more opened to other beliefs. The best part, I discovered self. The downfall, I miss St. Anthony.

I’ll tell you why I miss him. I used to mock at those who would pray to St. Anthony while stripping the sheets off the mattress and sticking their heads underneath the bed in desperate search for their lost items. Nowadays, I can’t put my heart to calling these people dorks because they are just asking for his service and a need for relief. I’m the dork because I still lose my keys and glasses, which at times; I am lacking control and comfort. What a loss in feeling so! That’s why I miss him.

I find myself searching for things in desperation and anger sometimes, but luckily, I have found self to help me search and seek for comfort. St. Anthony was a great feeling of hope and I have pushed him and his service away because of an influence that I still disagree with. I have pushed a good sentiment away. However, in reality, St. Anthony never had anything to do with that particular community from church, but I still placed him there and created a disconnection with self.

I’ve come to realize that even if St. Anthony (mentioning once again) is just another of my comfy blanket that helps keep me in control and keep me out of despair, why not call upon him and his service? It doesn’t hurt! And why not use the comfy blanket to connect back to self in determining what is right and what feels right for self during the times of anguish? I think Waith is helping me open my eyes to understanding spiritual aid and loving self. This imaginary spirit allows me to embrace hope by playing it out from within, and so I yearn for it to come fully to life.

There will still be many days where I won’t find something that I’ve lost right away, but of course that needs to be dealt with patience and proper timing. At least though, I know that I can be tucked in cozily with hope. It really is ok to ask for help and look for relief when needed.

Anyway, thanks for sharing. I love the feeling of being enlightened by Waith. And I should thank St. Anthony for the ambition to finding hope. Indeed, his service is quite admirable!

I have a book in my possession titled “The Little Flowers of St. Francis” by Raphael Brown. For anyone who is interested in his life, I would recommend it. Check out Amazon.com and you will find it there.

My own personal belief is that one does not need to belong to a specific religion in order to believe in, or pray to, the saints. If you look closely, you will find there is something beautiful and unique in each and every religion. Take from each what you want, and let go of the rest.

In my article, I sent you a link to read a little about the life of St. Anthony ~ it is very interesting ~ and to know there is much more to him than just finding lost articles.

St. Anthony was a part of my upbringing and I felt great comfort in having him as a resource ~ and, I still do! I find it reasuring to do something concrete to help bring me back into Self ~ and focusing on St. Anthony can be, for me, a concrete tool for assistance.

St. Francis of Assisi is, of course, very near and dear to my heart because he is one of Waith’s Spirit Group members and on occasion will speak through me. His mission with Waith is to help us in understanding the Community of Self, one of the components of Waith’s Search for Self. He has given us wonderful information and will be featured, eventually, in the Best of Waith series.

All in all, whatever the designation is given to particular energy forms, what matters, I think, is our perception of them as helpers in our own journey in this life ~ and I will take all the help that I can get!! :-)

Thank You Buema ! The book sounds wonderful ~ I will look for it!

I enjoyed the article and it reminded me of the meditation
workshop that we had at the old Terra Lux building. Waith made
it quite clear when we needed something that we should ask our
angelic protector for help, be it a book, parking space or whatever. I call them all the time, and it works all the time.
I was not raised Catholic( did I spell it right?) so I learned
a few new things after moving to Ct. from Al. Now my understanding is ” call who you know will help ”
    Love

P.S. Put my name on the list for the book, The Best of Waith.

I never got into the habit of calling upon the Saints for assistance, but I did (and do) call upon those who are of a “highly evolved energy” (not better) than I am in their awarenesses, and some of those energies probably were one of the Saints of history. Who knows? All I know is, it is comforting to me to know that they are there to help, whatever name we want to place upon them.

I have a cousin who has as a goal to become a Saint. I used to snicker at that, but, upon reflection, why not? Waith’s information helps me to undertand that it isn’t for me to judge my cousin in that goal, as it may indeed be a feeding through of a future purpose in a future life.
