Yoga Light ~ Chi-Kung Exercise

After my last article “Just for Today I will love my body”, I got feedback on how some attitudes and thoughts can affect our body and especially our lower back.

I see the importance of releasing grudges, resentments, hatred and any other emotion that might get stuck in our body ~ creating blockages to the natural flow of energy inside the body. When energy gets blocked we are at (Disease) Lack of ease. If we don’t pay attention to this feeling of discomfort, it could become an illness.

An easy way to release unwanted energy inside the body is a Chi-Kung Exercise.

Just have your hands next to your chest with your palms facing the front as if you were going to push the wall.
Inhale deep as you are bringing your hands next to your chest (visualizing bright light coming to your body) and exhaling while you are pushing your hands away from your body (visualizing any emotion, energy of uneasiness and disease being pushed away from your body).

You can repeat it really mindfully and slowly 3 times or more and you can repeat the same movement but with your palms facing the sidewalls. Again, the breathing is in while you bring your hands closer to your chest and out as you are pushing out.

Practicing it mornings and nights can do wonders for you.

Enjoy this Chi-Kung exercise.

Thanks Nina! On the first try of Chi-Kung exercise of which you’re kindly sharing with us, both of my palms ran a nice but intense warm flow.

I never felt that from any warm-ups, stretching, or any other exercises that I’ve done in the past. I actually repeated this 4 more times and it does feel good physically and emotionally. I think this is going to be most effective to me mentally. Wow, it cleared the airway from my lungs too! It’s so relaxing and yet intense (hmmm I sense a balance there).

‘Til today, I do your arm stretching and breathing combo exercise as a technique to relieve my back. It’s great and works all the time! Keep those forms of exercises coming and thank you again for sharing.

    Dear Sue,
    Thank you for your comment.
A GREAT SENSE OF WELLBEING IS WHAT THESE EXERCISES GIVE. THE PURPOSE IS TO RESTORE THE NATURAL FLOW OF ENERGY THAT EXISTS IN HARMONY AN BALANCE IN THE UNIVERSE. BUT OFTEN TIMES WE GET IN ITS WAY BY BLOCKING THIS ENERGY WITH NEGATIVE THOUGHTS, ATTITUDES AND ACTIONS.
Good thing there are easy ways to get in touch with the perfection of the Universe. (INTENT IS THE KEY)

Nina, you are terrific, as you already know! I have practiced Chi activities for years and have learned much. There are the same teaching in most eastern training and exercises, however it was remarkable to me a few years back 1989, that while taking Bio-feedback traing though my medical advisors that I discovered it is a similar exercise. This is also the basis of QD (Quantum Dynamics) training.

You will assist many with this information and if they practice it daily, they will discover that just stopping and montering their beathing will enhance their lives more richly than any other method of healing.

    Love and Light to you,

Thanks Jodi; we all need reminders. At times we feel so connected to the Universal source of energy to then get caught up with life and forgeting all about it; we start feeling uneasiness and lost.
It’s always good to sharpen our awareness for these reminders.
    Enjoy, Jody.

    Nina,

My mind and body started to improvise on your Chi-Kung exercise. By using your pushing and breathing technique, I’ve expanded on pushing towards other directions and not just pushing away from my chest.

Through my body, different directions had different negativity of harmful thoughts and blockages, allowing me to sense that some areas are harder to push. Through my mind, many obstructions had been suffocating me, enclosing me in like walls, which I was not able to detect.

Chi-Kung allows my mind to be willful and work with my body to push away those negativities. It’s amazing how this stuff works better than aspirins.

I am so glad it’s working for you and thank you for the feedback I will tri it your way.
Chi-Kung works better outdoors in contact with nature.
Mornings and evenings and the best times are sunrise and sunset.

  7. Mushi Says:

Sue, I like your variation of this exercise and, Nina, your suggestion of doing this outdoors is wonderful! Since I love sunrises, this will probably bring an even greater sense of release. Thanks to both of you for the feedback!

This is great– tried it–but still not too fond of the old stepmother

  9. Nina Says:

    Hi Barjan,
This exercise is not about disappearing our frustrations with people but rather expand the light inside us and if you do it outdoors, close to nature you will feel the connection with all that is. You might still have negative feelings but you may also feel the light within you. Remember the light’s job is to radiate and disipate the dark.
