Make Every Encounter Count

Every encounter you have with another person will be more meaningful if you repeat to yourself the statement, Thank you for being here, as a reminder of the miracle every existence is.

Thank you for being here will make you aware that no existence can be taken for granted and will fill your heart with appreciation for the person in front of you, your children, partner, parents, coworkers, the teller at the store and perfect strangers going by.

Experience the privilege of sharing your life with your loved ones and even strangers because every person has a message for you ~ and you for them ~ to grow and learn, to teach and guide. Every encounter you experience is part of the puzzle that will bring more understanding of life.

So don’t underestimate the encounters of the day and thank every person for being part of your life.

Love, Nina

I do thank my families, friends, and even strangers for having been there with me and for me. I’m very grateful to have each and every special one of you in my life.

I can’t fathom the idea of a day going by and not appreciating my children’s affections, my husband accompanying me through life, the heroic effort of my mother’s care, the alliances of my friends, and getting aid from a stranger. With these privileges in my life, I’m able to reach for help, comfort, support, advice, gain strength, learn to weaken from my own aggression, and acknowledge the significance of my connection and every existence.

For those mysterious incidents of meeting strangers, I thank all of the unforgettable faces for taking that pleasurable moment to get acquainted with me. You were once part of my life as well. Some of you strangers even took a little time away from your busy schedule to stop and help. Crucial moments like these, may have changed the courses of my path. You may have prevented me from rushing my days into harm’s way. Who knows, maybe that very first day we spoke, I was probably late for work, but my life still exists today because of you. Wow, all of that from a short encounter.

For those who still have spite for me, I somehow can manage to find a way to appreciate you as well. In a peculiar way, you help me learn how to weaken my rage and take control of my life. I consider you to be uncommon but still a part of my life. Maybe someday we will learn to understand and reach out to communicate with each other much more differently than before. Your disagreeable energy trains me to search for a more peaceful relationship, one that can eliminate spite between us.

The message that I pick up from this is how substantial and effective your existence provides, and that is just too grand for me to take for granted.

I don’t believe in stumbling upon each other coincidentally. All of my encounters have helped me to understand how each of your interaction plays an important role in my life.

So there you have it. You are all meaningful pieces of my puzzle of my life. Doesn’t really matter who, when, where, why, and how you were placed, but you’re all here and there to balance and complete my soul as a whole. I will never understand the timing of how you came about, but thank you so much for being here.

What a great comment!!! I loved it and it taught me a whole lot specially with people that care so much for me and I take it as nosy people that should mind just their own business. (My sweet mom worrying a lot about me)
You really reached my heart with this comment.
    Thank you Sue

Your article is so wonderful. It is such a wonderful thing to see
the facts in writing. to make it known to us that everyone is to be appreciated, whether we like them or not. We all have our parts to play, in the game of life.

    LOVE,
    Babbette

  4. Nina Says:

Dear Babbette you are right, and we can specially appreciate ourselves since sometimes we could question our own value.

It’s funny ~ I just came home tonight after sitting by the bedside of a hospice client ~ Isabelle had just dozed off and I was looking at her and thinking “thank you for the privilege of being here on part of your journey with you, and for letting me hold your hand!” I was wondering about our other past life connections and marveling at how we reconnect when we need each other! As Sue said, I may never know the details, or the why’s or wherefore’s, but living in the moment and appreciating each other ~ that’s quite special! Thanks Nina!

  7. Janis Says:

    Solara, you’re so lovely.

  8. Nina Says:

    Dear Solara,
I always admire people taking care of hospice patients. I really think about angels giving comfort, unconditional love and peace.
Thank you for being an angel.
